migrateodmr.sql

migrateodmr.sql migrates the Data Miner Repository from an earlier version to the current version. All workflows created by users are preserved; only the repository software is updated. In future migrations, it may be necessary to migrate the workflows as well.

migrateodmr.sql has one parameter, session_disconnect. session_disconnect allows you to avoid session locks that can block the migrate repository process. You can specify that the migrate repository script disconnects any connected sessions that have the ODMRUSER role privilege. session_disconnect allows you to disconnect such sessions automatically or to just report on any instances of such sessions. If any sessions are detected but not automatically disconnected, the drop repository process is aborted.

The values of session_disconnect are

• R – Report only, do not disconnect any sessions

• D – Disconnect only; display disconnect only

• DR or RD – Disconnect and report

Example: @migrateodmr.sql RD

During the process of migrating the repository:

• The database does not allow any new connections to be established during this process.

• Any connections granted rights to the Data Miner Repository are disconnected.
